Job Summary

We are looking for a technical leader that can evolve our service portfolio and help us grow our public cloud and container presence. A successful candidate with have deep experience in container technologies along with demonstrated technical leadership both within and across organizations. Experience in a DevOps environment and/or automation with infrastructure as code methodology is a must. As an individual contributor, the candidate will need to be able to handle multiple priorities, communicate well, and demonstrate leadership in a technical setting.

Responsibilities

• Be an active participant in setting direction and strategy for the team and its products / services and communicating that strategy to internal customers.
• Design, deploy, maintain, and support container solutions across public and infrastructure.
• Advance the team’s efforts by injecting your existing automation experience with infrastructure as code and other modern methodologies.
• Act as a technical lead for visible and complex projects, advocating for solutions across organizational boundaries in both technical and non-technical settings.
• Learn on the job and explore new technologies.
• Mentor your technical peers.
• Participate in rotating on-call support of production infrastructure and applications.

Minimum Qualifications * A bachelor’s degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master’s degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Essential Qualifications

• At least 3 years in a technical peer leadership / management role.
• Experience with public cloud platforms – Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Azure.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration (AKS preferred).
• Experience with scripting (Python preferred) and automation tools (Ansible preferred).
• Experience with source control systems, and the software release cycle.

Pluses:

• Experience with VMware vRealize Suite, and/or OpenStack.
• Experience with VMware vSAN or other SDS (Software Defined Storage).
• Experience with VMware NSX or other SDN (Software Defined Networking).
• Experience with Linux administration – Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS, Debian.
